Colored-pencil illustration of a small white clapboard country church at dusk under an orange and lavender sky. Its two wooden front doors stand wide open, and warm lamplight falls across rows of empty pews inside and down the wooden steps. On the steps sits a gift box wrapped in gold paper with a red ribbon and bow. To the left, a dirt road winds back through dry grass, and far down it a lone figure walks toward the church.

By Their Fruits

A three-part series on the fruit test in Matthew 7: a church blinded by the gift of power, a generation that sees the cruelty and thinks it is Christianity, and one former atheist finding his way home.

Colored-pencil illustration: in a cluttered campaign office, a man in a dark suit, seen from behind, reads a phone that says This post has been deleted. Before him an open briefcase overflows with bundled cash. A wall TV shows Texas shaded blue, and deflated red balloons lie on the floor.

What Half a Billion Bought

Talarico raised more than any 2026 candidate. Musk alone gave three times as much.

Colored-pencil illustration: in a hotel ballroom under a navy banner reading Leadership Conference, a tall executive in a navy suit and orange tie smiles broadly as he shakes hands with a younger man in glasses, a polo shirt, and a lanyard badge reading Engineer, who smiles up at him. Behind the executive, a stage spotlight throws his shadow across the cream wall, and the shadow has the head and pointed ears of a wolf. Through tall windows, a monorail glides past at dusk under an orange and purple sky.

The Same Smile

I shook Josh D'Amaro's hand once. Four layoff rounds later, the smile hasn't moved.

Colored-pencil illustration: in a sunlit oval office, a man in a dark suit sits at a carved wooden desk with his back to the viewer and his head bowed. Seven Catholic bishops in black cassocks, magenta sashes, and skullcaps stand behind him with their hands folded in prayer, one resting a hand on his shoulder. A small gold commemorative coin glows on the desk. In the foreground, a hand holds up a phone that is recording the scene.

Directed to Stand Behind Him

Twelve bishops were told to stand behind him and pray. Then the video went up.

Colored-pencil illustration: a man in a dark suit stands alone in a dim penthouse at night, city lights behind him and a glowing phone in his hand, facing a large gilded mirror. Instead of his reflection, the mirror shows a sunlit workshop where a younger, smiling version of him stands beside a rocket engine with engineers in work clothes and a red roadster.

The Man in the Mirror

In 2010 he played himself in Iron Man 2. In 2026 he posted a sad face.

Colored-pencil illustration: on a beach at dusk, a young castaway in a head bandana holds out a handwritten letter and presses a small carved wooden idol into the cupped hands of a bearded man in a battered hat, who looks down with a faint smile. Behind them, women sit around a campfire under torches and a thatched shelter, paying no attention.

Just Enough to Believe

JT handed Russell the Heroes' idol with a letter. There was no women's alliance.

Colored-pencil illustration: an empty wrestling ring with wooden posts and thick hemp ropes stands on a rocky riverbank beside a shallow stream at dawn, dry hills behind it. The sun is just clearing the horizon under a navy sky streaked with orange. A bearded man in rough, plain robes steps along the scuffed apron, bent forward, one hand pressed to his hip, limping.

The Oldest Booking Sheet

The 1-2-3 Kid pinned Razor Ramon on Raw. David had a sling.

Editorial illustration: a man in a navy sweater sits back from his desk at night, arms crossed. On the desk, a printed implementation plan is covered in handwritten edits, crossed-out lines, and sticky notes, one asking which model. On the monitor behind it, a dropdown labeled MODEL is chained shut with a heavy padlock, stuck on one option.

Keep Working on the Plan

Plan mode hooked me on Cursor. Now every new chat opens on Grok 4.7.

Colored-pencil illustration of a wooden table at dusk. A smartphone with a dark screen lies beside a large open Bible with a ribbon marker hanging over the table's edge. Above them a hanging lamp glows orange, and a pale moth flutters just below it. Through the window beside the table, birds fly across an open evening sky that fades from orange at the horizon to deep blue.

Ye of Little Faith

A four-minute phone call I put off for three days. Jesus had a name for that.

Colored-pencil illustration: a boy in pajamas sits cross-legged on his bed at night, a laptop of typed pages and wrestling title belts on his lap, looking uneasy. In the bright doorway, five smiling adults laugh and clap, their words drawn as one tangled black scribble above them. An overnight bag with a rolled sleeping bag waits by the door. On the wall above the bed hangs a theater mask still sealed in its plastic packaging.

Neurodivergence

You Don't Really Mean That

I said I did not want to go to the sleepover. People laughed it off.

Editorial cartoon: in a dim navy living room, a snarling wrestler in a black vest shouts and points out of an old boxy television set while a fan, seen from behind, leans toward the screen. A hand in a navy suit sleeve reaches in from the right edge of the frame and turns the TV's volume knob down. On the screen behind the heel, a small wrestler leaps off the top of a tall ladder over the ring.

Let the Heels Be Heels

Max Caster's rap barely drew heat. Firing him still taught every heel a lesson.
